Babbitt Golf Association awards $12,500 in scholarships

The Babbitt Golf Association has awarded $12,500 in scholarships to five graduating seniors from Northeast Range High School. Each of the scholarships is for $2,500. The five seniors receiving the scholarships are Ruby Milton, Matthew Bock, Wesley Sandy, Hailey Lindquist and Natalie Backe.

The scholarship money is raised through the annual Scholarship Scramble golf tournament held on Labor Day weekend. According to the Scholarship Scramble chairman, Jim Lassi, this is the 26th year that the Golf Association has been awarding scholarships. To date they have awarded a total of $223,000 to 131 graduates.
