Babbitt Police Report

May 7-14, 2024

Officer responded to a disturbance within a 10-block radius of Fir Cir. Nothing was observed out of ordinary.

Officer found lost child with assistance from East Range PD and K9 Officer responded to two lost dogs. One was brought back to the PD and reunited with owner. Second dog wasn’t able to be located.

Officer responded for civil standby between two parties. All were calm.

Officer responded to an adult making suicidal comments. Report unfounded.

Officer responded to an individual locked out of building. Assistance was rendered.

Officer observed a door open on a vehicle and no driver around. Officer closed the door to the vehicle.

Officers made eight traffic stops. Warnings were given for various traffic and equipment violations.

Officer responded to damage to property. Report was taken of the damage.

Officer responded to suspicious activity at a residence. Nothing out of the ordinary was observed.

Officer responded to a 911 hang up. Accidental call.

Officers assisted Babbitt EMS with four medical emergencies.

Officers requested for extra patrol in a neighborhood.

Officer responded to an injured wolf. Wolf was not located and believed to be alive and well.

Officer took report of stolen property. Nothing founded at this time.

Officer assisted an Ely officer for a physical domestic. One adult was taken to jail.

Officer assisted an Ely officer for an unwanted person. Person was cooperative and left area.

Officer responded to suspicious activity of an adult at the soccer field. Adult had permission to be there.

Officers responded to complaints of a vehicle blocking the boat landing. Vehicle left boat landing.

Officer responded to a check welfare on an adult. Adult was safe and sound.

Officer responded to an adult with mental health issues. Nothing founded.

Officer assisted St Louis County Deputy with an adult with mental health issues. Nothing founded.

Officer responded to a call of a bear in the backyard of a residence. Bear went back to its home.

Officer arrested an adult male for driving after disqualification.

Officer returned property to adult female for original safe keeping at the police department.

Officer was out a community event at the Northeast Range School.

Officer cited an adult male for driving after cancellation and no proof of insurance.
