The U.S. Small Business Administration will recognize 11 Minnesota- based small businesses and small business champions, including Minnesota’s Small Business Person of the Year, during National Small Business Week. Held annually to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and small business supporters across the nation, Small Business Week is April 28 to May 4 this year.
“Every day, our team has the privilege of working with new and existing small businesses and small business supporters across the state,” shared Brian McDonald, SBA’s Minnesota District Director. “With more than 500,000 small businesses powering Minnesota’s economy, it’s exciting to take the time to honor and recognize this year’s winners, who have demonstrated dedication to their businesses, alongside the communities they serve.”
The winners include Family-Owned Small Business of the Year, Garrett Lamppa, Lamppa Manufacturing Inc. of Tower, MN.
Winners were chosen for their success in starting or helping small businesses in Minnesota. Each business also received SBA assistance, directly or from SBA’s resource partners, in the form of guaranteed loans, business training and consultation, and more.
The SBA Minnesota District Office will honor all 2024 winners in the coming weeks. For more information on Small Business Week, visit www.sba.gov/NSBW.
