At the Ely Public Library on Wednesday, April 17 at 2 p.m. the program for kids will be Get Crafty: Mini Masterpieces.
Using a small canvas and paint, come use your creative skills to show the world how important art is. All materials are supplied. Pre-register so the library has enough supplies for everyone. This program is for ages 5 and up.
City of Ely/Ely Tree Board’s annual City of Ely Tree Mulching Event will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m.- noon. Volunteers are needed to help mulch the boulevard trees in Ely. Meet at 9 a.m. at Whiteside Park for instructions etc. All materials will be provided for the project. Mulching event to last until noon. Free food and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers (provided by the Friends of the Trees of Ely). Contact Claudia McBride with any questions: [email protected] The annual Ely Community Resource Art Auction will be held on April 20 starting at 5 p.m. at Ely’s Historic State Theater. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the ECR office, from board members or at the door.
The following have been scheduled for the Ely Senior Center: Evening Bingo, April 21 at 6:30 p.m.; Bake Sale, May 18 from 9 a.m.-noon Norther Lakes Arts Association presents Dancing with the Ely Stars on April 26 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Vermilion. Tickets are $25 and include voting privileges.
Junior-Senior Prom at Ely Memorial High School will be held on Saturday, April 27. The Grand March will be from 5-6 p.m. in Washington Auditorium.
Join in for a time of prayer and worship at the 73rd annual
National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 2 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center, 27 S. 1st Ave. E.
