At the Ely Public Library on Thursday, April 4 at 1 p.m. there will be: Curiosity Cohort: Corsages, a program for adults. Do you love to learn about quirky new crafts or fun skills? Join the library’s curiosity cohort and learn about a different topic each month. In this session, participants will learn how to make corsages – both floral and with other materials for special events! This month will be part demonstration and part hands on participation. You will need to register in advance for this program so that they have enough materials for everyone. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
At the Ely Public Library on Friday, April 5 at 3 p.m. to Wednesday, April 10 at 8 a.m. there will be the Mo Willems Kahoot! a program for all ages. Online trivia game on the beginning reader and picture books by Mo Willems. They will need an email address for each person who wishes to play to send the link to the game, so please register in advance. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
The next Braver Angels meeting will take place on Thursday, April 11 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Senior Center.
The annual Ely Community Resource Art Auction will be held on April 20 starting at 5 p.m. at Ely’s Historic State Theater. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the ECR office, from board members or at the door.
The following have been scheduled for the Ely Senior Center: Evening Bingo, April 21 at 6:30 p.m.; Bake Sale, May 18 from 9 a.m.-noon Norther Lakes Arts Association presents Dancing with the Ely Stars on April 26 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Vermilion. Tickets are $25 and include voting privileges.
Are interested in weather? The City of Ely will be hosting a SKYWARN class May 14 at 6 p.m. This two-hour class is hosted by the National Weather Service and is free of charge. This class will be hosted at Ely City Hall (209 E. Chapman St.) in the council chambers.
