At the Ely Public Library on Wednesday, March 20 at 1 p.m. there will be a Curiosity Cohort: Tarot Cards. Do you love to learn about quirky new crafts or fun skills? Join the library’s curiosity cohort and learn about a different topic each month. You will need to register in advance for this program so that we have enough materials for everyone. This program is sponsored by Llewellyn Publishing.
At the Ely Public Library on Thursday, March 21 at 3 p.m. to Monday, March 25 at 8 a.m. there will be a Louise Penny Kahoot for all ages. Online trivia game on the Inspector Gamache series books 1-3 by Louise Penny. Please register in advance. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
The Knights of Columbus sponsored Lenten Fish Fry Dinners will be held on Fridays from March 1-22 from 5-7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Ely.
The next Braver Angels meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Senior Center. After a brief refresher about the Braver Angels conversation guidelines and a short anecdote there will be smaller groups for conversation about a topic of the group’s choosing. The next meeting will take place on Thursday, April 11.
The following have been scheduled for the Ely Senior Center: Easter Bonnet Parade, March 16 from 1-3 p.m.; Evening Bingo, April 21 at 6:30 p.m.; Bake Sale, May 18 from 9 a.m.-noon The Ely Memorial High School spring music concert has been scheduled for March 19 at 7 p.m.
The annual Ely Community Resource Art Auction will be held on April 20 starting at 5 p.m. at Ely’s Historic State Theater. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the ECR office, from board members or at the door.
