Saturday, June 1 will be the Up North Craft and Vendor Extravaganza from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the Babbitt Library. Bakers are needed for the Friends of the Library Up North Craft & Vendor Extravaganza. Items can be brought to the Babbitt Library on Friday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and also on Saturday, June 1 at 8 a.m. This is a fundraiser for the Babbitt Library.
Veterans Rummage Sale is open on June 1 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the back of the Municipal Building at 71 South Drive. Come and take a look.
The city-wide rummage sale will be held on Saturday, June 1 starting at 8 a.m. To add your address to the map call 218-827-8700 and leave your address by May 29.
Peter Mitchell Fun Days will be held June 14-16. The date for the Walleye Whamma is June 8.
National Sauna Day will be held on Saturday, June 8 in Embarrass from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nelimark Homestead, Hwy. 21 and Saloe Road. Free admission, family friendly, rain or shine. Saunas on display and for sale along with sauna stoves and accessories. Pulled pork meal available, squeaky cheese, boot throwing game, baby goats. Tour of local saunas at 1 p.m. Music by Bill and Kate Isles from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Babbitt EMS has partnered with Safe Kids Northeast Minnesota and Towards Zero Deaths Arrive Alive Coalition to provide free helmets in the area. They will be handing out up to 100 free helmets on Saturday, June 8, at the Ice Arena in Babbitt for Peter Mitchell Fun Days - Walleye Whamma. Partnering agencies will also be doing some safety demonstrations and ensuring the helmets are sized appropriately.
