The Northeast Range volleyball team went 2-1 in their last three matches.
On Thursday, Sept. 12 the Nighthawks hosted Duluth Marshall and won in four, 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22.
Peyson Roseth had six kills and 12 digs; Maizy Sundblad had three kills and 26 set assists; Else Bee had seven ace serves 18 kills and 19 digs; Kadence Hancock had six kills; Chloe Janeksela had four kills and 11 digs; Danica Sundblad had 20 digs and Anna Mancini had four kills.
“An amazing game for our seniors tonight and a lot of help from the underclassmen as well,” said head coach Misty Roseth. “Their defense tonight was top notch, with longer rallies. But they came out on top again and are feeling great and working awesome as a team!” On Monday NER hosted Cook County and again won in four, 2519, 25-18, 28-30, 25-21 Roseth had 14 kills and 20 digs; Maizy Sundblad had 14 kills and 23 set assists; Bee was 11-11 serving, with two ace serves, 15 kills and 24 digs; Hancock had four kills; Janeksela had 16 digs; Danica Sundblad had 17 digs, 100% serving 11-11 and Mancini had 3 kills.
“We are continuing to do great things defensively! As long as we keep putting the ball away, we stay on top in each set,” said coach Roseth.
At Silver Bay the Nighthawks lost in five, 23-25, 16-25, 25-21, 25-16, 10-15.
“So great that they were able to come back, but couldn’t quite finish it,” said coach Roseth.
Danica Sundblad was 16-16 serving, 23 digs; Maizy Sundblad-12 kills, 22 set assists, three blocks; Roseth three blocks, 11 digs; Bee-11 kills, four blocks, 18 digs; Janeksela 17 digs; Hancock seven kills, 11-11 serving.
