Winners announced in seventh and 10th grade Science Fair

The mission statement of the Ely Public Schools Science Department is “where curious learners become scientifically literate stewards of a remarkable place.”
The Science Fair in our new Commons shows off what Ely’s seventh and 10 grade science students are exploring in class in pursuit of this mission.
A group of 16 judges from the Ely science community (former science teachers, members of the US Forest Service, local veterinarians) came to judge the students’ presentations in the categories of Fluid & Material Science, Environmental Science, Light & Energy, Physics & Robotics, Chemistry & Energy, Behavioral & Social Sciences, and Animal & Planet.
