Sharlene Ann Detzel (Wight), 55, of Isabella

Sharlene Ann Detzel (Wight), 55, of Isabella, MN passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2021, after a tough battle with lung cancer.
She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 12, 1965 to Wayne and Lizabeth Wight, deceased.
Sharlene will be sadly missed by her husband, Cody Detzel, her three children, Brian, Gary, and Shawn Whithaus, sisters Shirley, Sharon and Shannon, three grandchildren, and extended family & friends.
Sharlene attended Lincoln University in Missouri and graduated with a Bachelors Degree for a Registered Nurse. Later in life she moved to Minnesota and married her soulmate, Cody Detzel, of Isabella. Sharlene worked as Director of Nursing at the Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely where she was a big influence to many.
Sharlene was a quiet person but very brave, strong willed, and determined to succeed in whatever she set her mind to. She rarely ever complained, even toward the end through all the hard times she endured. She had a huge heart and was always doing things for others. She was very well respected and loved by all.
Sharlene enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, reading and most of all cooking and baking, which she was very well known for.
She briefly owned and operated a food stand in Two Harbors, which was enjoyed by many and soon became a popular place to go for lunch. Sharlene also cooked for many groups that stayed at their lodge on Rowan Lake in Canada.
She did all the cooking for every holiday or family event. When asked “can I do anything to help,” she would always reply “no I think I have it,” and that she did. Every meal was awesome and always included hors-devours and a delicious desert.
Sharlene’s deep tearful laughter is one of the things that will be missed the most.
