Ron was born April 29, 1954, in Vancouver, Wash., to parents Edwin Freeman and Bernice (Santa) Jezierski.

Ron had a way of making anyone and everyone laugh or chuckle and made everyone feel at home. He loved the outdoors. Whether it was fishing, hunting, driving the golf cart, or just relaxing in the sun, if it was nice weather, he’d be outside.

Ron graduated from Cherry High School in 1973. From there he learned Culinary Arts and graduated from Hibbing Area Vocational Technical Institute in 1975. Ron has worked many jobs over the years, gaining countless friends along the way. Ron is survived by brother, Tom Freeman (Linda) of Rapid City, South Dakota; uncle, Donald Santa; daughter, Jessica Weaver of Rapid City, South Dakota; son, Ronald Louis Freeman Jr. of Hibbing, Minnesota; grandchildren: Tara Nazario, Trisha Schmader, Taylor Mitchell and Shawn Murray, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Freeman; and twin brother, Donald Freeman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Babbitt Golf Course.
