She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jo Ann and Jon Erickson of Minneapolis, nephew Matt During World War II Florence worked at the General Electric Equipment war plant in Cleveland, Ohio.

Florence met Joe Telich in Cleveland at a “Minnesota Gopher Club.” They fell in love, married in 1949 and soon moved to Joe’s home town of Ely, Minnesota.

Florence learned to love the north woods as much as her husband. Many Sundays were spent with her husband and daughter Jo Ann picking berries and picnicking on the Echo Trail. She was an avid baker and was known for her apple and blueberry pies.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the Slovenian Union of America. Services will be set at a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
