Linda R. Shober, age 74, from Plymouth, MN, formally New Brighton, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with ALS on August 19th.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of North St. Paul High School. The majority of Linda’s career was spent with the Pohlad Companies where she worked as an Executive Assistant for Carl Pohlad for 30+ years.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved knitting, cooking, card making, traveling to Florida during the winter, making her Christmas caramels and cookie platters, spending time with family and special friends, and of course, baseball and her Minnesota Twins.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Rose Schwintek.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of almost 44 years, Jim, who never left her side during her entire journey with ALS, their daughter, Lynnea (Brent), and grandchildren Finnegan, Harper and Everly, friendship daughter, Prasangi (Dietmar), and their children, Roshan and Surangi, sister Cindy (John), brothers, Tom (Susan), Mike, and Rob (Pat), many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation 5-7PM Tuesday August 30th at the Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel, 2610 19th Avenue NE, Mpls. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Wednesday August 31st with visitation starting at 10AM at the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, 2739 Stinson Blvd. NE, St. Anthony. A luncheon will follow.
