Lamppa jersey retired

The jersey number of the late Lon Lamppa was retired during a ceremony at the  American Legion Memorial Field in Soudan on Wednesday, June 21.   Lamppa, who passed away last year and was a longtime physical therapist at Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital, was a former baseball coach in the Tower-Soudan Little League, Babbitt-Embarrass-Soudan-Tower High School program, and in summer Babe Ruth, VFW and American Legion leagues.
