Frank John Palcher, age 83, born and raised in Ely passed away suddenly on August 14, 2022.
Frank was born on December 21, 1938 to Frank and Jennie (Perhay) Palcher. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his best friend Dave Chelesnik.
He was a 1961 graduate of the University of Minnesota, and although he studied physics, he was an engineer by trade. He served in various leadership roles in the industrial air filtration industry, and retired from his role as CEO of Jacobsen Corporation in the early 2000’s.
Frank was a loving father, devoted husband, and strong family man. He married the love of his life, Connie Carlson, in 1962, and they spent 60 years building a home and family.
They were blessed with three daughters and settled in the Twin Cities. He loved Minnesota and always enjoyed returning to his hometown of Ely to spend time in the great outdoors.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Jennie Palcher and his twin sister Lorraine.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie, and his three daughters, Colleen (Tom) Ledin, Brenda (Jim) Gleb, and Sheri (Steve) Lonnes. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Corey, Samantha, Jamie, Jeremy, Dominique, and Noah; great grandchildren Abigail, Bricen, Brecken, Sutton, Peter, and John; sister Kathy Dobler, and a myriad of friends. A private Celebration of Life service was held in Champlin, MN.
