Mayor Omerza called the Public Hearing to order at 4:45pm.
Present: Counci l members A.Forsman, Kess, Debeltz, Callen, Campbell, Bisbee and Mayor Omerza Absent: None Also Present: Planning and Zoning Administrator Kochendorfer and Planning and Zoning Commissioner Riley
Purpose:
The Public Hearing will be to hear public comment regarding, Ordinance 376 regarding Revising the Permissible and Conditional Uses List.
Mayor Omerza indicated that this list has been worked on for many years by the planning and zoning commission.
Jay Greeney asked if the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) would follow the property.
Planning and Zoning Admin Kochendorfer indicated that these changes would allow Auto sales in C-1 so Greeney’s CUP would not be needed anymore.
Planning and Zoning Commissioner Riley explained the chart of uses, the O’s require a Conditional Use Permit (CUP), the X’s the use is permitted within that zoning district, and if it is blank the use is not allowed in that zoning district unless the use would come to the city council for approval as allowed or allowed with a CUP.
A.Forsman indicated that we might want to consider an Conditional Use Permit or an O be put in the Auto/Truck: Sales, parts, repair for Industrial & Related (M) Zone. Bisbee asked what the I’s stand for under Festival, community event. Langowski indicated that it is an Interim Use Permit for bigger events like the Blueberry Arts and Harvest Moon Festivals, and the Marathon. Omerza stated that she appreciates all the hard work that Planning and
Zoning put into this.
