Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital hosted an Ely High School Healthcare Career Day on March 26 from 9-11 a.m. in the Ely school’s commons area.
The purpose of this event was to education 10th, 11th, and 12th graders about the exciting variety of careers in healthcare.
Along with general information about the field, there were hands-on stations with nursing (IV insertion, IO insertion, and Intubation), diagnostic imaging (ultrasound), pharmacy (make your own chapstick), and human resources where students got a chance to experience parts of the various healthcare careers.
