Ely’s End of the Road Archers added two trophies and six medals to a growing 2024 collection last weekend, as they took part in the 3D regional tournament at Hibbing.
The middle school contingent fell short of second place by just three points at the event, while the elementary team was second and 42 points shy of being named the Grand Champions - most team points for the entire season - of Region 2 3D.
Individually, Aspen Mac-Coy took second among fifth-place girls with a score of 238. She led six Ely individuls with top-five finishes.
The others were:
• Cylvia DeBeltz, fourth, high school girls, 270;
• Talan Hart, fourth, middle school boys, 277;
• Sabrah Hart, fifth, high school girls, 276; • Laydan Hart, fifth, middle school boys, 276;
• Payson Kundinger, fifth, middle school girls, 264 Others in the top-10 were:
• Wyatt Carlson, sixth, fifth grade boys, 239;
• Abby DeNio, seventh, fourth grade girls, 190;
• Ryker Russ, ninth, fourth grade boys, 206;
• Bryce Houde, 10th, fifth grade boys, 220;
• A ri Hart 10th, fourth grade boys, 201.
Shooting their 3D personal bests were Houde, Hart, Hayden Weidemann, Hunter Kosinski, Liam Kurnava, Mason Lee, Osker Metes, Ryann Schlosser and Sawyer Kannas.
