The person who died in a house fire on Feb. 25 in the 1400 block of Grant Mc-Mahan Boulevard has been identified.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the victim in the house fire as 77-yearold Carol Ann Lindbeck. Lindbeck was the current homeowner and sole resident at the time of the fire.
At the time of the fire it was reported to 911 that the sole, elderly homeowner was believed to still be inside.
Upon the arrival of firefighters, they searched the thick smoke fill residence for homeowner however were unsuccessful.
After getting the fire under control, firefighters located a deceased victim inside of the residence.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental and started near the fireplace inside the residence.
