The Ely Echo will once again mark a year of growth and change on the area’s business front with its Progress Edition.
The Echo’s 30th Progress Edition will be spread over two weeks and included in both this week’s newspaper as well as the May 3 report.
Many area businesses, some new, some that have changed hands and many that have made significant changes during the past 12 months, will be profiled via reports and/or photographs in the special Progress sections.
Other major components of the edition include updates on local economic development efforts, local government projects, and building initiatives, and a “Business Honor Roll,” a listing of local businesses and the year they came into existence.
Since 1995, the Echo has released a Progress Edition. It included 16-page reports each of the first four years and expanded spreads of up to as many as 28 pages since then.
