The first Sound Off of Sirens Memorial, hosted by and at the Embarrass Region Volunteer Fire Department, will take place on May 4 from noon to 1 p.m. Coffee ‘n will be served. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend this special tribute. The first Sunday in May at noon local time each year, will resound with fire sirens sounding for 30 seconds, followed by a minute’s silence, in loving memory of, and deepest respect for, all firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty or left an indelible mark on our hearts before departing.
