Saint Paul, MN- Monday the Minnesota House of Representatives heard and passed HF 438 and HF 1058 authored by Rep. Roger Skraba (R-Ely) on the House floor.
HF 438 would permit Crane Lake Water and Sanitary District to have a three-member board of managers instead of five. HF 438 passed unanimously out of the House.
The Minnesota House of Representatives also heard HF 1058 which allows North Koochiching sanitary sewer board composition to be modified.
The North Koochiching Sanitary District is currently comprised of nine members, after the legislation it will be comprised of seven members. The sanitary district is asking for this change because International Falls and South International Falls merged due to low population, and East Koochiching has expanded their sewer system bringing the number down to seven members.
HF 1058 also passed unanimously on the House floor.
