Babbitt will be receiving a new playground this summer at the Central Park location. There will be a public meeting with Landscape Structures and the Babbitt Recreation Department at 4 p.m. on March 18. This is a time for the public to ask any questions or voice any concerns regarding the project.
On Thursday, March 20 at 6 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center, the Ely Braver Angels Alliance will gather to discuss the topic of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), the agency created by President Trump with the purpose of streamlining government and eliminating waste.
ATV Safety Hybrid Class will be held in Babbitt on Saturday, April 26. Registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. Class will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This class is for students ages 11-15 after they have completed the online ATV course at https://www.atvcourse.com/usa/minnesota/ Lunch and ATV’s will be provided. The Babbitt Recreation Department announces community volleyball at the Municipal Gym on Mondays from 6:30-8 p.m.
