Ely Memorial High School presents “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” performances on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 at 7 p.m. in Washington Auditorium. The Ely High School dance team is having their end of the year program on Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m. in the Memorial gym.
At the Ely Public Library on Thursday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m. will be Curiosity Cohort: Making Pet Toys for adults. Join in the curiosity cohort to learn about a few simple toys that you can make for your animal companion to enrich their lives using some simple items that you probably already have around the house. Please register in advance. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Ely Public Library.
Ely PTO Strawberries will be ready for pickup one day only on Thursday, March 6: 1-6 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center. They will have extra strawberries for sale.
The Ely Film Festival, showcasing the work and creativity of independent filmmakers from Minnesota and around the world, returns March 13-16.
ECR Art Auction will be held on March 22. This year’s theme is “A Celebration of Artful Living in Ely.” Support programming for local kids by bidding on art from local artists. There will be a live auction, silent auction, and raffle. Catered food provided. Tickets are $10. Viewing/appetizers at 5 p.m. and the auction begins at 6 p.m.
