The Babbitt Figure Skating Club is hosting its Rock the Ice show this weekend. Folks are invited to join the club in supporting local youth as they perform on the ice. There will be two showings, Friday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m., and Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for kids ages four to 17, and free for those three and under.
Northeast Range will be hosting the Section 7A Music Contest on Monday, March 3 (band) and Tuesday, March 4 (choir). Nine schools for band and six schools for choir will participate during these days. Northeast Range High School band will be playing on stage at 9 a.m. on March 3. Parents and relatives of these students are invited to watch in the auditorium.
ATV Safety Hybrid Class will be held in Babbitt on Saturday, April 26. Registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. Class will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This class is for students ages 11-15 after they have completed the online ATV course at https://www.atvcourse.com/usa/minnesota/ Lunch and ATV’s will be provided. Babbitt Blue Line Hockey Skills/Learn to Skate Program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Equipment supplied Questions call Duane at 218-750-4425.
The Babbitt Recreation Department announces community volleyball a the Municipal Gym on Mondays from 6:30-8 p.m.
