At the Babbitt Public Library there will be a free event on Monday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m., singer/songwriter Dennis Warner will be in concert.
The Friends of the Babbitt Public Library membership drive will be from noon to 4 p.m. on Jan. 27. Warner draws on his years of stage experience to create a warm, welcoming, and intimate concert. Warner has a wealth of performance experience with concerts at the Kennedy Center, an international tour of South Africa, and a feature on PBS North with songs from his 11 albums. Warner’s concerts are a blend of serious, thought-provoking songs with lighter, up-tempo material. He’s noted for being an entertainer, bringing the audience into the performance with laughter and a few sing-alongs.
On Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center there will be a panel and discussion on precious metals mining, hosted by Braver Angels Minnesota moderators.
All are invited to attend a Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge concert at the Northeast Range Babbitt School Auditorium on Sunday Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m. Adult and Teen challenge is a successful drug and alcohol addiction recovery program. Please plan to come and hear powerful worship songs of deliverance and testimonies about the miracles of broken lives restored. There will be coffee, juice and baked goods served at the school cafeteria after the service. This event is sponsored by the Babbitt and Embarrass Churches.
