Reflections Dance Company Winter Showcase: Water 2.0 will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Minnesota North College Vermilion Fine Arts Theater. Dancers of all ages will share works-in-progress for the upcoming summer show “Water 2.0” in Aug. 2025. This event will feature performances in the styles of acro, ballet, contemporary, jazz, and tap. Come experience how all aspects of water can be shown through movement. Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can.

Get ready for a jolly good time at the Mrs. Claus Party on Dec. 7 at the Grand Ely Lodge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mrs. Claus is ready to welcome all the area youth for a morning filled with crafts and exciting activities. Of course, Santa will be there to listen to each child’s holiday wishes. Every child will leave with handmade craft projects they create and a goodie bag filled with treats, small gifts, and other items.

A Kids Christmas Workshop will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Ely on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 1-3:30 p.m. All kids welcome! “Living With Cancer Group” gathering on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Ely Senior Center at 6 p.m. All cancer patients, survivors family, and friends are welcomed to attend.
The Ely Braver Angels Alliance invites everyone in the community to a social event on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 5-7 p.m., Boathouse. A lighthearted social event, featuring complimentary snacks and beverages along with entertainment by Steve Solkela.

On Friday, Dec. 13 at 3:30 p.m. the Accidental Ensemble will be playing at the Ely Public Library.
“Elf: The Musical” will be presented by Northern Lakes Arts Association, this must-see production will take you on a magical journey from the North Pole to New York City as Buddy the Elf discovers the true meaning of Christmas and the joy of spreading holiday cheer. NLAA will be bringing back five to six of Ely’s favorite performers from summer shows over the last two years to add extra sparkle and magic to the production. The Ely Dark Sky Festival, a two-day celebration of Ely area dark night skies will be held Jan. 10-11.
The Ely Winter Festival will be held Feb. 6-16.
