A Babbitt man died in an ATV crash east of Babbitt Sunday morning.
A press release from the Babbitt Police Department said officers received a call at 7:23 a.m. of a report from a passerby of a single-person ATV rollover on the Stony Spur ATV trail just east of Mattila Road.
The crash was found by a passerby. "Our officer arrived at the scene at 0736 Hours. It was determined that the operator, a 33-year-old male, had been deceased for some time and conditions did not support any chance of resuscitation. The crash was estimated to have occurred during the night," the press release stated.
An obituary listed Brody Jon Horn, 33, of Babbitt passing away unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in a tragic ATV accident on Sept 15.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
