The full collection of videos celebrating the centennial anniversary of Ely Memorial High School can now be accessed through the city of Ely’s website. The video project brought together 13 graduates who shared personal stories of their deep appreciation for Ely Memorial High School.
The city of Ely’s Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) created the videos with funding from a Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund Grant.
“The website includes an even closer look at the graduates because we’re releasing their personal videos,” said Margaret Egan, co-chair of the HPC. “To hear the actual voices of the graduates helps to preserve the community’s heritage; we were very fortunate to have graduates from 1942 through 2024 participate in the videos.”
