On July 27, the Up North Bass tournament had 25 teams competed on Lake Vermilion for points and money.
Teams overcame the tough conditions and wind and put up great weights as they usually do in up north bass.
The team of Scott Schinderle and Brad Larsen of Ely came away with the win and big fish weighing in a big bag of large mouth bass.
First- Scott Schinderle and Brad Larsen 19.85 lbs.
Second- Kenny Schofield and cody slygh 18.71 lbs.
Third- Harrison Nelson and Bennett Nelson 17.93 lbs.
Fourth- Eli Rohloff and Ethan Zimmer 17.87 lbs.
Big fish: Schinderle/ Larsen 5.95 lbs. Schinderle and Larson took home $2,190 in prize monies.
This was the fourth stop on the Up North Bass tour. The first three were at the Fish Lake Flowage on May 18, Blue Lake on June 29 and at Lake Winnie on July 13.
The next event is Pokegama on August 10. There is a tight points race for the top 15 to make the cut to Wabana.
Schinderle and Larsen finished fourth in the Winnie event with a total weight of 19.75 lbs. The winners there, Eli Rohloff and Ethan Zimmer, had a total of 21.5 lbs.
