John Youngman shot the first hole-in-one this year on the Babbitt Golf Course. John aced the 150 yard par three using a nine iron on July 16.
It was witnessed by his playing partner, Justin Hirdler. According to John, the shot landed a few feet in front of the hole, ran up to it and appeared to stop on the lip on the cup for a couple seconds before it found the bottom of the cup.
This was John’s third lifetime hole-in-one, but his first on the local course. Given how tirelessly John has worked to get the course back in playing condition after the rains and flooding that took place in June, the ace was well deserved.
Council member Glenn Anderson, clerk Administrator Robecca Jaeger, mayor Duane Lossing, Paul Peltier, executive director of RAMS (Range Association of Municipalities and Schools). The West Babbitt Development Committee and the city council met with Paul Peltier and Whitney Ridlon, IRRRB community development representative for a special study session for the West Babbitt development.
