Trout Whisperer Bing, spa-loosh

He thought of it before me this year, we worked over a few afternoons, settled on, Tuesday. He picked me up on time and sooner than later we were sitting on his dock under a big fabric floppy umbrella usually to keep the sun off, today it was the rain.

I had my bag, he had his, and we commenced spitting bing cherry pits in the lake after extracting the fruit.

We talked about some pretty heady stuff, I told him about how Swiss cheese gets its flavor from certain bacteria, only after he brought up gouda cheese, that I know nothing about other than I like it, I just thought it was the opportune time to let him know about that. Not sure if he appreciated my knowledge of cheesy whole bacteria as he countered with, he just got a new 12 gauge, side by side, with a woodcock engraving, and then he launched a pit, that would make a 14-year-old boy jealous, I knew I was, he really sent it, and I told him, nice one, he smiled, he answers back, didn’t know I still had that lung power, even surprised me.

I was gonna mention how he quit smoking and maybe that helped but that might have made him miss his cigars, heck, I even miss his cigars, they were so good, so I sent one, it barely left the dock boards, we both laughed.

He says how many years we been spitting pits, I said I really don’t know, but I hope we have just as many ahead of us and launched one quite a bit better than the last.
