ELY GRAD 100-year-old Jo Pruse imbibing in a Jell-O shot. She said she had one of the best days of her life and was honored to be the Grand Marshal.
Five year-old Millie Prall marched in the July 4 parade and won first prize in the Most Creative category as cultural icon Rosie the Riveter.
Enjoying their chunks of free watermelon during Zup’s Fun in the Park on Saturday night were Isaiah Forsman and Jay Lilja.
Hoping to fill his bucket with parade candy was Hunter Williamson, age 2, of Ely.
Waiting for their share of the hundreds of pounds of candy tossed out every year at Ely’s famous 4th of July parade were Brooks Rooney, Graham Rooney, Hazel Murphy and Willa Murphy.
Playing trumpet for the Ely High School marching band was Wyatt Devine.
Handing out freezies to parade goers was Ely ambulance member Miah Rehm.
Watching the parade was two year-old Soren Park.
