Landon Richter, Jack Anderson and Lane Anderson: Landon: “We work for Arrowhead Seamless Gutters. We did a couple jobs today in the local Ely town. We’re just about finishing up on this fine day. I am from Tower. It’s going really good. Obviously with the seven inches of rain we got in the past week is a lot of calls like liquid gold coming down for us. We do repair work and new gutters. That’s about it.” Jack: “I have nothing to add to that. I’m from Soudan, Minnesota.” Along came Lane Anderson: “We’re first cousins. I like outdoors and I’m just out here doing gutters. That’s about it.”
Kelsey Ivancich with her dog Willow and Aaron Donais: Kelsey: “I only work part time during the summer so spending time at the baseball field working concessions. Watching my little brothers play Little League. That’s pretty much what I’ve been up to. I work for UMD in Admissions. Recruiting. I work with transfer students so students that want to transfer to UMD from another place. In the summer I only work a few days a week and then I’ll go full time again end of July. We both live in Ely. We both are up at the baseball field most of the summer. He coaches in the summer and I help concessions.” Aaron: “Like Kelsey said, I coach the Junior Legion team right here. I teach down in Babbitt at Northeast Range. I teach Social Studies and Special Ed. Like her I have a bunch of time in the summer to take dogs on walks and enjoy some time off.” Kelsey: “It’s pretty relaxing. We’re going to finish taking Willow on a walk and then go to my dad’s for some dinner and just hang out at home and probably watch the Twins. My dad is Frank Ivancich, he retired this year.” (What!? How can that be?...)
Sonja Alexander: “I’m picking up my dogs. They got spayed and neutered at the Ely Vet Clinic.” (They do a good job there.). “I moved up here from White Bear Lake with me and my son. I have a cousin that lives up here and it’s nice town so we decided to move up here. Me and my dogs enjoy long walks and I go to work and swimming and ice fishing and all sorts of fun things.”
