Wilderness Health is hosting a community listening session in Ely. The listening session will be held on Friday, June 28 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center.
Working in collaboration with local community development organization, Northspan Group, Inc., Wilderness is inviting community members to share their stories and help shape the future of mental health care.
Through funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Rural Health Network Development Program, Wilderness Health looks to make care navigation easier.
This grant is specifically focused on mental and behavioral health. Through a series of several community listening sessions to be held across Northeastern Minnesota, Wilderness Health will ask community members to share their healthcare stories.
Together Wilderness Health and the communities will identify successes, barriers, and brainstorm possible solutions.
Following these events Wilderness Health plans to reach back out to communities with information on what we have learned from our listening sessions and extend an invitation to participate on next steps in grant programming.
A light meal will be served for participants. Registration is not required but is appreciated. If you plan to attend please register at: https://bit.ly/3xXNaMm.
Wilderness Health understands that the patient’s perspective is key to creating effective health care and requests help from Ely and northern St. Louis County area residents in co-creating pathways of care.
