Studio North dancers to compete at national competition

The results from the regional competition April 5-7 in Duluth earned the Studio North Competition Dancers a spot at the upcoming national event. The event will take place at the DECC in Duluth June 25 - 30.

Dancers will attend a welcome celebration leading into two days of convention classes led by professional dancers from throughout the US. They will be trained in lyrical, hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary and musical theater. Following the convention the competition runs four days with dancers from throughout the US. Included are improv and scholarship audition opportunities. The finalists will wrap up the event on June 30 with choreography and showstopper awards - also announcing the title holder for Dancer of the Year and the Judge’s Choice Cup.

The competition portion is free to spectators and will be live-streamed at www.celebrationtalent.com Team members are: Soloist Chezne Nickolson - competing lyrical, jazz and musical theater.

Soloist Hadleigh Myers - competing jazz and also as a Dancer of the Year Finalist.

Team members River Carter, Brynna Cook, Harper Kainz, Hadleigh Myers and Sunny Weissert competing jazz and musical theater routines.

Instructors are Nichole Boitz and Steph Morris.
